WebMay 15, 2010 · I use flatpicks with my nylon string. I usually use Dunlop .88 nylon picks, but I also like the Dunlop celluloid picks as well. I like this for strummy, folk singing stuff. I haven't got around to putting a pick guard on yet, but I'm considering it. The strumming I do is not heavy handed at all so there's no rush, IMO. WebAug 9, 2024 · IMO, a nylon string guitar and a steel stringed dreadnought are two different instruments, much like a tuba and a trumpet. I appreciated a flatpicker playing it because that is the instrument I play. This is a much easier song on a nylon string guitar.
