WebSep 6, 2024 · V-8 is 1-4 pass side, 5-8 driver’s side. V-10 is 1-5 on one side and 6-10 on the other. Easy way to figure out which side number 1 is on is that head is farther forward on the block than the other. I think number 1 is always on the passenger side. All Ford V engines are numbered this way.
